Family KITAS Indonesia – Temporary Residence Permit for Family Members

Family KITAS Indonesia – Temporary Residence Permit for Family Members

Family KITAS Indonesia is a temporary residence permit issued to foreign nationals who are family members of an Indonesian citizen or KITAS/KITAP holder.
This visa allows legal stay in Indonesia for 1 year, 2 years, or up to 5 years, depending on the sponsor’s immigration status.

Family KITAS is commonly used as a spouse visa, child stay permit, or parent residence permit, and in certain cases can be converted into permanent residency (KITAP Indonesia).

Family KITAS index categories

Family KITAS is issued under official immigration index types:

  • E31A – Spouse of Indonesian citizen
  • E31B – Spouse of KITAS/KITAP holder (except retirement permit holder)
  • E31C – Child with one Indonesian parent
  • E31D – Stepchild of Indonesian citizen
  • E31E – Child under 18 of KITAS/KITAP holder
  • E31F – Adopted child by Indonesian citizen
  • E31G – Parent of Indonesian citizen (age 21+)
