What Is the Indonesia E31C Diaspora Visa?

The Indonesia E31C Diaspora Visa is intended for children born from lawful marriages where one parent is an Indonesian citizen and recognized by the Ministry of Home Affairs of Indonesia or an Indonesian Mission abroad.

This visa falls under:

The visa allows eligible applicants to:

• Live permanently in Indonesia
• Travel freely to and from Indonesia

Activities Allowed

With this visa, applicants can:

• Live in Indonesia
• Travel freely to and from Indonesia as many times as desired

This visa provides long-term family residency access for children of Indonesian citizens.

Electronic ITAP and Re-Entry Permit

Eligible applicants automatically receive:

• Electronic Permanent Stay Permit (e-ITAP)
• Re-Entry Permit

Upon arrival at Indonesian Immigration Checkpoints.

This means:

• No need to visit the immigration office separately to obtain your ITAP or re-entry permit

In addition:

• A physical stay permit card is also available at the immigration office

Important Restrictions

E31C Diaspora Visa holders are prohibited from:

• Selling goods or services
• Receiving wages, salary, or compensation from Indonesian individuals or corporations

Exclusions

The following individuals are not eligible for the Indonesia E31C Diaspora Permanent Stay Permit:

• Citizens of countries formerly part of Indonesian territory
• Former or current foreign civil servants, military personnel, intelligence officers, or law enforcement officials
• Individuals involved in separatist groups
• Individuals acting against Indonesian national interests

Document Requirements for Diaspora Visa

Applicants generally need:

• Valid passport with minimum 6 months validity
• Proof of sufficient living expenses
• Latest color photograph
• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Travel itinerary
• Visa application from Indonesian parent
• Family card of Indonesian parent

Applicants must also provide proof of birth, such as:

• Birth certificate issued by authorized government agency

OR

• Proof of birth registration at Indonesian Mission or authorized government institution if born abroad

Applicants must also provide proof of parents’ marriage.

If the marriage was conducted outside Indonesia:

• Proof of registration at Indonesian Mission or authorized institution
• Marriage certificate translated into Bahasa Indonesia unless already written in English

If the marriage was conducted inside Indonesia:

• Marriage certificate or marriage book issued by authorized institution
